Coffee
This lovely lady is “Coffee” (original YARN name was Cassie-R) She was one of the ten pups found in a box on the Alaska Highway in August 2014, with their mom Marley. Coffee is spayed and just over 1 year old now. She is a very sweet and pretty, soft haired girl. Her mother is a German Shepherd – and it looks like her dad had a bit of Setter in him. Doncha’ love that feather tail.
Coffee was adopted, but one of the problems for strong, high energy dogs like Coffee – living in the smaller communities in the north – is the lack of obedience training instruction. Many dogs are surrendered because folks don’t know to train their dog even basic obedience. Training classes teach as much to the human, as they do to the dog. Not one of us was born knowing how to do it.
Coffee is a strong girl that is in the habit of dragging humans when on leash. She needs to learn discipline to be a well-balanced, happy dog. We will only consider an owner that would be committed to giving Coffee the training she needs, as soon as possible. The owner should already have obedience training experience, or should live in a community where training classes are available.
Coffee is in Watson Lake at this time. If you are interested in adopting her, you can fill out an adoption application.
