Hello I am “Chef”…. A large breed, active Shepherd Cross from Ross River. I am the mother of YARN’s Salad Litter who were all adopted in March.

It’s time for me to find my fur-ever home…. I know there is an active family that wants a happy girl who is excited about life, to join them on their adventures….

I was an outdoor dog before tied to my dog house… As soon as I was released, I headed off on a short walk-about to experience the world… I do come when called though… Probably best to have a securely fenced yard, with another male dog or submissive female – to play with…

I have learned all about how to live in a house during my 3 months at YARN in Watson Lake – and I’m doing so great at it. I am a very smart girl and I look forward to learning a bunch more about manners & stuff from my new family… I’m probably a bit too exuberant to be around small children till I have some training under my belt.

One out of 25 dogs (usually a leader female) I might try to challenge – but we expect that will change now I am spayed. Might be best to have a home with male or submissive female dogs only. I don’t know how I am with cats yet.
