WHITEHORSE FOSTER NEEDED:

This boy named "July" is seeking a new foster home... His current foster's schedule does not allow him to continue fostering... Could this fella visit with you for a bit...?

Hello… My name is: “July”… I am a handsome 5-Month-Old, Male pup, from YARN's - “Months” litter. I take after my Mom who looks like a Blonde Lab Cross, who also has Pitbull in her mix. Dad was a one-night stand and mama ain't talkin'... but maybe he was a Manchester Terrier or Min-Pin…? Half of my siblings look like him. We could be anywhere from Medium to Large Size… I currently weigh 35 lbs.

My foster says: “July” is very playful but also loves a cozy spot to relax. He’s puppy pad trained. Likes to play in the snow but not for too long. He loves to snuggle with other dogs but also with us and the kids. He plays gentle with the kids and can play hard with the big and small dogs. He’s only been in the car twice and wasn’t too stressed. He loves to chew bones. He sleeps in a large crate at night.

ALL potential adopters are required to submit an adoption application and be approved. You can do this online here: yukonanimalrescue.net/adoption-application/ If you have applied before; DO NOT apply again… Your application is filed… Instead - send a message through the YARN page, to ask that your application be considered for a specific dog. Applications are considered in the order that “interest is received” for each dog… But YARN will always pick the home that is best for “that dog”

He looks so lovely..😍

Feel free to send me a message if you have questions about this pup.

Is he good with other dogs, is over his destructive phase, Is he potty trained?

Hello… My name is: “April”… I am a cute little girl, from the “Months” litter. I am a smaller 5-Month-Old pup who will likely grow to a Medium Size. Maybe Dad was a Manchester Terrier or Min-Pin…? About 5 of us look like him - I’m the smallest of those… Mom looks like a Blonde Lab Cross... She also has Pitbull in her mix.

My foster says: April must be the runt of the litter because she was 11 lbs when we weighed her last week. She is shy with strangers but is very curious, playful and goofy and loves to cuddle and be carried around. She has a lot of love to give and is excited to give kisses and be petted. She has great recall, is almost getting the hang of being house trained. April is kennel trained and loves her kennel, it is her safe space and favorite place to nap.

Hello… My name is: “November”… I am a pretty 5-Month-Old, Female pup, from YARN's - “Months” litter. I take after my Mom who looks like a Blonde Lab Cross, who also has Pitbull in her mix. Dad was a one-night stand and mama ain't talkin'... but maybe he was a Manchester Terrier or Min-Pin…? Half of my siblings look like him. I weight 13 lbs and will likely grow to a Medium Size.

My foster says about me: “November runs fast and likes to play, like every puppy, but also has a very cuddly personality. She loves being held and carried like a baby, so much that she will run up to strangers and try to get them to pick her up! She would thrive in a home with lots of people to cuddle with. She has great recall and loves the kennel as well. She enjoys playing with our dog and has been good with every dog she has met. November is mostly house-trained and is great on walks.

Hello…. I am “Penguin” a Handsome, 4.5-Month-Old, Male pup from the “Bird” litter. I look a lot like my Mom, who looks to be a Golden Lab Cross…? Dad was a one-night stand and mama ain’t talkin’… but by the looks of half my siblings, he was a Husky… I expect I will be a Large size dog who will enjoy an active life with a family that takes their dogs along on the adventures… I am at a foster home in Whitehorse and ready to meet approved adopters.

My foster says: Both "Goose" and "Penguin" are active and energetic dogs. Goose is medium size, Penguin is bigger. Good with kids and babies - especially Goose. Housetrained, experience being locked in their "room" when we're away. No dogs/cats experience. Good on leash. I hope they both find caring owners, they're really nice dogs!

Hello… My name is: “December”… I am a pretty 4.5-Month-Old, Female pup, from YARN's - “Months” litter. My Mom looks like a Blonde Lab Cross, who also has Pitbull in her mix. Dad was a one-night stand and mama ain't talkin'... but maybe he was a Manchester Terrier or Min-Pin…? Half of my siblings look like Mom…. Half look like Dad… I’m in the middle…! I could be anywhere from Medium to Large Size… I currently weigh 27 lbs.

My foster says: December” is a happy and adventurous pup with a vibrant character. They say I am curious and like to “check things out”. I enjoy walks and lead the way when off leash. I greet other humans and dogs politely and come when called. I am highly observant and sometimes a little nervous when I see something new. I sleep up to 8 hours a night in my crate. I have limited experience travelling in the car, but so far have done well. I am food motivated and do well with treat training. I love giving kisses and enjoy snuggles, but also independent, a good mix of both. I am almost house trained. While I know to go to the door, I am very quiet about it. When the human is distracted, I sometimes use the towel by the door. I get along well with other dogs. I am naturally protective of my toys, though I let my foster human take things without protest. I might alert you to strange sounds with a couple of barks. I enjoy wrestling and napping with the cat. My foster human thinks I would make a great companion for an active person and will form a strong bond.

I have limited experience travelling in the car, but so far, I have done well. I am house trained and learn quickly except when it comes to food. I am “food obsessed” which is ideal for treat training. While I have made progress, I am still learning to keep my paws off the counter, to sit still when fed, and to eat more slowly. Hello... I am “Chance” I am 7 Months Old, from YARN’s - “Home Free” litter…. My mom “Roxy” is a Lab Cross Medium/Large Size… My Dad was a one-night stand and mama ain’t talkin’… I am at a foster home in Whitehorse, where I can meet approved adopters.

They expect I will be a Medium Sized Dog… I would benefit from an active family, that has time to do some training with me… and likes to take their dog(s) along on the family adventures…. I will need exercise on a regular basis, to be healthy & Happy.

I am at a foster home in Whitehorse, ready to meet approved adopters. My foster mom says I am very sweet, playful, pretty lovely and smart…! I am understanding the leash training quickly…. I still lack confidence – but that should improve with socialization and training.

ALL potential adopters are required to submit an adoption application and be approved. I will probably be a Large size dog who will enjoy an active life with a family that takes their dogs along on the adventures… I am at a foster home in Whitehorse and ready to meet approved adopters.

My foster says: “Robin is crate trained, house trained, has sit/stay, shake, high five and down, loves other dogs, good with cat, would do great with kids in an active household, and would do good with Ski-jouring when older…!”

Applications are considered in the order that “interest is received” for each dog… But YARN will always pick the home that is best for “that dog”.

The Bird Litter is made up of some of the smartest and sweetest pups I’ve ever known.

Robin is adorable. ❤️

Is Robin smaller than her siblings or is it just the angle of the pictures?

My name is “Stud”, an 8-Month-Old, Male pup from YARN’s “Poker” Litter. My mom is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, a Medium Sized dog, a strong girl. Dad was a one-night stand and mama ain’t talkin’… 😉

I am 17” high at the front shoulders… YARN expects I will fill out more, but probably not much taller. My foster mom says I am housetrained, kennel trained, doing good on leash walking…. My recall is great. I’m used to cars. I’m good with other dogs – but don’t think I have met any cats yet…

My fur-ever family should be active folks, who are able to put in time for training, exercise, socialization, and adventures, to ensure I will be a well-adjusted, happy member of the family… I am at a foster home in Whitehorse, ready to meet approved adopters.

HELP NEEDED…

This pretty girl is “Mishka”… One of YARN’s “Foxy Posey”… “Mishka” and her sister “Molly” were adopted together into a loving home, back in 2014…

In December her owner noticed Mishka seemed to have discomfort in her neck and a change in her posture… The vet performed many tests, which all came back OK… They were unable to see a problem.

Mishka remained her usual playful and happy self, until a week ago, when she was not able to get up… Her vet referred her to a specialist in Vancouver. They found a tumor in her neck (meningioma). Due to its location next to the spine, surgery would cause spinal cord damage…. But the vet recommends Radiation treatment instead.

Mishka is still fighting and being her happy playful self – and her owner does not want to give up on her…. After paying for many tests, exams and hospitalization, she really needs some help to be able to provide radiation treatments for her girl…

DONATIONS CAN BE SENT TO:

All donations collected by YARN will be forwarded to the vet.
E-Transfer to: Cheryl@YukonAnimalRescue.net
Paypal: paypal.me/HelpYARN

For folks who prefer to donate directly to the vet clinic... Mishka will have radiation treatments at Central Victoria Veterinary Clinic. They can take donations over the phone. The donator will need to say: " This goes to Mishka ". Their number is: (250)475-2495.

Sometimes it's selfish to keep them going just for our sakes. Radiation isn't fun for people nevermind dogs. And I say that beleiving pets dying is one of the hardest things we have to go through. Sending love.

This breaks my heart. Sending all the hugs to the owners. Shared and will help spread the word to get this girl back up and running 💕

sending healing ,helping prayers for her🙏🙏🙏

Oh dear my heart just broke in to..♥️💔

Is she being taken care of at Canada West Veterinary Specialists?

Hello… My name is “Boo”… (Boo Batter)… I was named after a flavor of Ice Cream. I am a Mixed Breed girl, about 50 lbs, who is about 1 Year Old. I am “so special”… that Cheryl @ YARN came thisclose to keeping me for herself. I got along great with all of the YARN pack and I am a well-adjusted, happy girl…

My “super patient” Whitehorse foster mom says: I think Boo is super social and needs companionship the most, from human and/or other pets. She follows us all over the house and loves getting pets…

Boo is house trained, Crate trained, Friendly with people and dogs, good at recalls to come in from the backyard, a big fan of pulling sports (skijoring and kicksled pulling), snuggly, with super soft, fuzzy fur, making her extra fun to pet.

Boo would thrive the most in an active household and with another dog she can play and snuggle with. She can get a bit overexcited with meeting new dogs, so she will need to continue to work on this with her family.

Boo was spayed on February 8th. Her adoption fee will be the cost of her spay.

I just want to say she met my dogs on the trail and did perfect ☺️she didn't seem too excited or anything! Not saying it's not true she has to work on that (I don't know her that much) but thought I'd say I had very positive experiences with how she was on the trail with my dogs 🙂

If I were looking for a dog, I would consider this girl!!

What a sweet dog ❤️

She seems so sweet!

She’s adorable.

Terry Kerr get a matching one 😍

Hope she soon finds a home

TIRED OF THE “FOSTERS NEEDED” POSTS…???

If I lived in Whitehorse (instead of Watson Lake)... I’d have all of YARN’s available pups at my place…. But 5 hours (each way)…. is quite a drive - just to meet a puppy. They need to be in the city - to find their fur-ever homes...

Send a message to YARN – from our FB page – if you can help a pup or two – on their way to their families…

About 5 of our siblings look like our Dad, who we are guessing is a Manchester Terrier or Min-Pin…? Our Mom looks like a Blonde Lab Cross... She also has Pitbull in her mix… None of us are very big for our age – We could be Medium to Large, when grown. We need active family’s who take their dogs along on adventures.

Dad was a one-night stand and mama ain’t talkin’… but he might be a Medium Size, cause 1/2 of my siblings look like a Min-Pin or Manchester Terrier. My foster mom says: “Dove is a very gentle and joyful pup who has lots and lots of love to offer. She listens well, and takes great care of her kennel and play areas. She is great on a leash and is a natural when it comes to longer hikes. She thrives when she is out exploring! She is friendly and loving with children and has gotten along well with her foster family's adult dog and cat.”
