Charlie
Charlie’s owners write:
Charlie is a Malamute Husky Cross. He turned two years old in August and he is neutered. He has been around kids all his life and gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is very busy and loving and adores water and rolling in dirt as you can see. And he loves his truck rides.
Charlie is a high-energy dog who needs a lot more attention than our busy family is able to give him. We love him a lot but he is a handful. We both work full time and with kids in school all day – he is not getting the attention he needs.
He loves to take himself on walk-a-bouts, but he hasn’t mastered coming back when called. He has been a bit skittish since we got him at three months old. He really would excel with a family that is very active and either has obedience training experience, or a willingness to take him to dog classes.
It is a very difficult decision to give Charlie up. We have never given away a dog before, but we really feel he would benefit being with a family that suits his activity and training level better than ours.
We really want him to go to a loving fur-ever family, so we are allowing YARN to use their responsible adoption process to find that for him.
We live in Carcross – but could bring him to Whitehorse if anyone wanted to meet him. If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please submit an adoption application.
